Toddler is scared to sleep? any tips for a desperate mother?

I went through this with my little boy, what i did was change his room around, and removed anything that may be creating any scarey looking shadows, or anything that may rattle about and makes noises, sometimes you get the toys that have no on/off switch and makes noises when no ones touching it. It will take time but the key is patience. Hope this helps.
