If Jupiter used to be a star, how much brighter than the moon would it have been?

I could be wrong, but I don't think any stars have ended up as gas giants at ANY point in there evolution. Brown dwarfs aren't even considered stars, and they have much more m than Jupiter does. Size be damned, it's all about the m.
