What was Veronica's attraction to Archie?

Rich and spoiled brats look for fun and excitement, and more often they find them in people below their social status. Archie fits the bill. There is also the Betty angle. Ron won't take back seat to a simple and poor girl like Betty. I think Veronica is using both to satisfy her ego.
