The Joker in The Dark Knight?

Did Heath Ledger play the entire role in the movie or did someone take over his part? I recall them saying when he died that he hadn't finished filming, but if you look up the list of actors in the movie, only his name is listed. Plus, he'll be nominated for an award for the movie for that role too and no one else was mentioned.
