Who manufactures soft, durable, good-looking jeans for men?

I've been looking to buy some new jeans for a while now. I'm specifically looking for jeans made out of soft denim so that they don't chafe when I wear them to work but that are well made and durable enough to last me more than 5 or 6 months. I've been satisfied with some of the jeans sold by Express (hit or miss on the softness, but they usually last long enough and are stylish enough to wear anywhere) and Perry Ellis which I found at a Burlington Coat Factory about a year ago but haven't found again since. Also, my preference is for jeans that don't have rips and tears and holes and abrasions put into the style of the jean as part of the manufacturing process. Thanks for any help!
