AMC: Wouldn't Griff easily be able to investigate missing pain pills?

He knows Jake is investigating missing antibiotics so he would have caught wind of missing controlled substances. Did he even ask Kendall where she heard the story? I'm glad Kendall didn't believe it was Griff but his usual lack of curiousity seems unusual.
